Bellingham couple buys The Fireside Martini & Wine Bar

J.D. and Rebecca Merris recently bought The Fireside Martini & Wine Bar, which opened in May 2010 at 416 W. Bakerview Road in Bakerview Square. The sale dosed June 22.

South AfricaEditor Jesse Carleton spent a few days out west earlier this year. First, he visited T.J. and Kami Comstock m Billings Mont., where the couple had lust finished a new store layout. Later he drove through the Bighorn National Forest in northern Wyoming. While most of the country was finished with its winter weather, there was still snow in the mountains.Allison DeWitt, NRHA member services and events coordinator, glides through the zip lining course at Thaba-Metsi Adventures just outside of the village of Haenertsburg, South Africa, located in the Limpopo Province. Dewitt traveled to South Africa with a childhood friend in June. She also visited Kruger Park and spent two days on a safari. This is one user-friendly and energy-efficient sort of fireplace. Not having to gather logs and not having to clean ashes are the great conveniences this kind of hearth offers. With the help of a gas burner and a simulated log, the perfect by-the-fireplace mood is achieved without having to undergo so much fuss. Propane or natural gas is the fuel used on gas fireplaces.

The Fireside will retain the same operating hours of 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday until lunch is added. For more information, call (360) 738-1000 or visit www. firesidemartini.com.
